Q: If I hire a Workers' Compensation attorney, how does he/she get paid?
A:
Our office works strictly on a contingent fee basis meaning we only get paid if we generate some level of permanent disability for our clients. The Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board will allow a fee awarded against an injured worker’s permanent disability of 15%. This fee gets paid at the end of the case. The carrier issues a separate check to us. This office does not bill our clients for services. If there is no award of permanent disability for an injured worker, this office earns no fee.
