Q: How often are Temporary Disability Payments made?
Temporary Disability (TD) is paid every two weeks, for a total of 104 weeks. Keep in mind, however, that TD can stop at any time during your case for various reasons. Some of these reasons could be: your carrier is not getting regular reports from your treater saying that you are temporarily disabled, you have reached maximum medical improvement (MMI), you have reached or exceeded the total 2 years (or total 104 weeks) that TD will pay you. There are many other reasons why TD may be stopped, sometimes legitimately, sometimes not, in which case the assistance of an attorney may be needed.
