Q: When Do I Qualify for Temporary Disability?
You can either qualify for Temporary Total Disability (TTD) or Temporary Partial Disability (TPD). Temporary Total Disability is when you cannot return to work at all as a result of your workplace injury. Your doctor will often be the first to decide if you have reached TTD (although this can be disputed by both sides).
Temporary Partial Disability (TPD) is when you cannot perform the full duties of your job, but you are able to return to work with restrictions or on a modified basis. Here the treating doctor again will often be the one to decide if your status is TPD. All of this can be explained in detail during your no-cost consultation with Thomas K. Ledgerwood, Esq.
